Pompei's Restaurant & Pizza's Story
Behind every great restaurant is a great dreamer, and Pompei's Restaurant & Pizza is no exception. The owner, Gennaro Manganaro, has worked in the food industry since he was 11 years old.
Gennaro, a native of Naples, Italy, came to Pennsylvania at age 19 to work with the family pizza business. In 1986, Gennaro purchased Pompei's Restaurant & Pizza in hopes of continuing a family business. His knowledge of authentic Italian and Mediterranean cooking has helped put his restaurant above the rest.
A Second-Generation Tradition
The same year Gennaro purchased Pompei's Restaurant & Pizza, he brought in his son, Antonio Manganaro, as a second generation partner. Today, Gennaro and Antonio are working side-by-side to serve families in the Tunkhannock area, and are proud supporters of the local community and schools.
